Karma Manager ("the app") is developed by Mitch Patenaude. This policy explains what data the app collects, how it is used, and your choices.

Data that stays on your device

The core functionality of Karma Manager runs entirely on your device. Your search queries, results, dictionary selections, animation settings, and private word lists are stored locally and are never sent to any server unless you explicitly choose to use the optional sync feature described below.

Optional account and sync

You may create a free account to sync your saved favorites across devices. If you do, the following data is transmitted to and stored on our server:

• Your email address (used for authentication)
• Your saved favorite anagrams (input phrase, anagram text, and dictionary selection)

Sync data is stored on servers operated by Fly.io and is associated with your account. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app.

Share links

When you generate a share link for a favorite anagram, the anagram's content (input phrase, anagram text, and dictionary) is stored on our server and made accessible via a public URL. You can remove a share link at any time from within the app.

Sign-in providers

If you sign in with Google or Apple, authentication is handled by those providers. We receive only your email address and a unique identifier. We do not receive or store your password.

Photo library access

On iOS, the app may request permission to save exported GIF or video animations to your photo library. This access is used only when you explicitly choose to save a file. No photos are read or uploaded.

Analytics and tracking

Karma Manager does not include any analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, or third-party tracking. We do not collect usage statistics, crash reports, or device information.

Children's privacy

The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The optional account feature requires an email address; if you believe a child has created an account, please contact us to have it removed.

Changes to this policy

If this policy is updated, the revised version will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
